There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
There is rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar;
I love not Man the less, but Nature more.
Lord Byron

I find joy in the loneliness. All that lies behind are my footprints,
and nothing lies ahead. I choose my own path, I make my own way.

Snowshoed up to Webster Pass on Friday. Didn't encounter a single person
from the time I left the parking lot outside of Montezuma at 10:30 until 2:30 when I wound my way back into town.
Beautiful day despite the lack of sunshine.

Ended up in the spectacular cirque above the
Webster Pass/Radical Hill junction.
Just me and my camera...
