Hey there... if you have read the new post below, then you have a good idea as to what's going on over here in Switzerland, but for you visual folks, here is the pop-up book version of the same story:

First Class from Dulles to Zurich... very nice - even for the 6'3" cyclist sleeping in seat 1A.

After many days of snow in Montana, we were delighted to wake up to clear skies over a foggy Rhone Valley.  This picture is only a small segment of a panoramic view from out apartment.

Eye Candy: the Taillens Boulangerie in Montana.

"Dear Rivella,
I know that you do not distribute outside of Switzerland, but would you kindly consider sponsoring a young American cyclist who is addicted to your product?  Thank you."

This genuine shot of the sasquatch was accidently taken in the Zermatt train station during a trip to Switzerland by American cyclist Kevin Kane (right) and his father (photographer).

Welcome to Graenichen: my current place of residence.

The "cellar"...  Merida bikes litter the downstairs area; the 2009 full-suspension weighs 19.5 lbs.  The road bike on the right is the only non-merida bike in the room: Florian Fogel's Team Phonak Scott USA. Fogel was 3rd at the 2007 Mountain Bike World Championships in Ft. William, Scotland, and 2nd in the 2008 World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy.  If you haven't caught on yet, he's a national hero in Switzerland...

Kathrin - 2008 European Champion - showing the kids how it's done in a training session in Graenichen.

Me, trying to keep up.

Me and the Boss, preparing my training schedule for the next 4 weeks.

The mountain biking in the area is extensive, and all the singletrack trails around Graenichen were built by Beat for the team to train on -- VERY TECHNICAL.

When it snows too much, it's time to jump on the trainer and "crank the bass," as Mattu says.  Beat and Matthias pose for a quick picture.

Kathrin showing off for the camera.

Fighting against the snow.

More soon!
